"Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.
Now we ask you, brothers, to respect those who work hard among you, who are over you
in the Lord and who admonish you. Hold them in the highest regard in love because of their work.
Live in peace with each other. And we urge you, brothers, warn those who are idle, encourage the timid,
help the weak, be patient with everyone. Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong,
but always try to be kind to each other and to everyone else.
Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is
God’s will for you in Christ Jesus."
1 Thessalonians 5:11-18

"That's What Faith Can Do"
Lyrics

What does it mean to be confirmed?
It means that I confess the faith that my parents and
baptismal sponsors once confessed for me.

What is this faith?
It is the faith of my church - the Holy Christian Church

What is the foundation of this faith?
It is the faith in Jesus Christ for my salvation.

Do I make this confession publicly or privately?
I make this confession publicly, in front of the congregation.

What does my confirmation mean for the church?
It means that the members hear my confession of faith, recognize it as the faith the church believes,
rejoice in it, and are strengthened by it.

What is the purpose of confirmation class?
Confirmation class prepares me to make this confession on confirmation day and for the rest of my life.

What happens in confirmation class?
In confirmation class, the church passes on to me the faith it has received.

Where is this faith found?
